Approximately 85 x 60 cm, this compact rug features classic kazak-style geometric medallions and stepped borders with bold, contrasting motifs. Its small size makes it ideal for an entryway, beside a bed, in front of a reading chair, or as an accent in a hallway or study.

Named after the city of Kazak (also spelt Qazax) in modern-day Azerbaijan, Kazak rugs feature distinctive geometric patterns, and are often red, cream, blue or gold in colour. Super Kazak rugs utilize similar designs, but are constructed with superior pile and a finer finish. Kazak rugs knotted in Afghanistan are often referred to as Afghan Ghazni.
