Approximately 150 x 100 cm, this gabbeh features a grey ground with simple, minimal patterning and subtle tonal variation. Its compact scale makes it well suited for an entryway, beside a bed, a home office, or a small reading nook.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
