Approximately 201 cm x 92 cm, this rug features a rich red field with tidy geometric motifs and a framed border, accented by dark blue and black details. Its narrow, elongated size makes it well suited for a hallway, entryway, or alongside a bed.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
