Approximately 193 cm x 90 cm, this piece features a deep red field with repeating geometric guls and a contrasting dark border accented with small motifs. Its narrow, mid-length size suits an entryway, hallway, or beside a bed.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
