Approximately 192 cm x 89 cm, this rug features a rich red field with tidy geometric motifs and a contrasting dark border, typical of kunduz patterns. Its slim, medium-length proportions make it well suited to an entryway, hallway, or beside a bed.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
