Approximately 189 cm x 97 cm, this rug features a rich red field with repeating geometric medallions and a detailed border of small motifs, giving it a bold, traditional look. Its compact size makes it ideal for an entryway.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
