This rug is approximately 201 cm x 149 cm, featuring a rich red field with tidy geometric motifs and a contrasting border in dark accents of black and blue. The pattern includes repeated medallions and small details that create a balanced, traditional look. Its mid-sized proportions make it well suited for a living room or under a coffee table, adding warmth and definition to the space.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
