Approximately 239 x 160 cm, this gabbeh features a rich red field with subtle linear striping and tonal variation for a warm, understated look. Its medium size is ideal for a living room under a coffee table, a cozy bedroom, or a home office, adding a pop of colour without overwhelming the space.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
