Approximately 243 x 160 cm, this gabbeh-style rug features a simple, minimalist design with a solid brown field and subtle tonal variations for a warm, grounded look. Its versatile medium size suits placement under a coffee table in a living room or as a cozy accent in a bedroom or home office.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
