Approximately 280 x 182 cm, this rug has a simple striped design with a dominant brown field and soft tonal bands, accented by beige and cream. Its generous size suits a living room seating area, under a 4–6 seat dining table, or alongside a queen bed.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
