Approximately 291 cm x 196 cm, this gabbeh-style rug features a simple, plain field in brown with minimal detailing for a calm, understated look. Its generous size suits a living room, dining area, or master bedroom, where it can anchor the space without overwhelming it.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
