Approximately 284 cm x 189 cm, this rug shows a rich red field with repeating geometric guls and a defined border highlighted by black and blue detailing. Its generous size makes it ideal for a living room, under a medium dining table, or in a spacious bedroom.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
