Mashad is also renowned for its extensive carpet production, offering a wide range of qualities. The wool from the Khorasan region, where Mashad is located, is among the finest in Iran, giving the carpets a particularly soft texture. Common colors include deep red, blue, and khaki. These carpets typically feature intricate floral patterns framing a central medallion and are often produced in large sizes.
