Approximately 288 x 195 cm, this rug presents a deep red field with tidy repeating geometric motifs and a defined border, accented by dark details. Its near 3 x 2 m size makes it ideal for a living room, anchoring a seating area with strong, traditional character.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
