Approximately 307 x 200 cm, this kazak shows bold geometric medallions and stepped motifs within a strong border, dominated by a rich red ground with cream and blue accents and small touches of yellow. Its generous size is well suited to a living room or dining area, anchoring a seating group or fitting neatly under a 6–8 seat dining table.

Named after the city of Kazak (also spelt Qazax) in modern-day Azerbaijan, Kazak rugs feature distinctive geometric patterns, and are often red, cream, blue or gold in colour. Super Kazak rugs utilize similar designs, but are constructed with superior pile and a finer finish. Kazak rugs knotted in Afghanistan are often referred to as Afghan Ghazni.
