Approximately 290 cm x 195 cm, this piece features bold horizontal stripes in rich red with warm accents of orange, yellow and touches of brown, creating a simple, graphic look. Its medium-large size makes it well suited to a living room or under a small dining table.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
