Approximately 295 cm x 163 cm, this gabbeh-style rug presents a bold red field with simple, understated motifs and gentle tonal variation for a warm, tribal look. Its elongated size is well suited to a hallway, entryway, or placed along a sofa in a living room, adding a strong pop of colour without overwhelming the space.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
