Saruq rugs (also spelled Saruk, Sarouk, Sarouq, or Sarough) are crafted in the village of Saruk, the city of Arak, and the surrounding areas in Iran. These rugs have been produced for much of the past century and owe much of their early success to their popularity in the American market.
