Approximately 370 cm x 277 cm, this large rug features a simple gabbeh-style design with a lively mix of colours arranged in clean, understated patterns and small motifs. Its generous size suits a spacious living room, open-plan lounge, or under a large dining table.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
