This very large piece (approx. 471 x 295 cm) features a rich red field with repeating geometric guls and a strong framed border in dark accents of black and blue. The bold, tribal-style pattern brings warmth and structure, making it ideal for a spacious living room, open-plan lounge, or large dining area.

Kunduz rugs share similar colours and patterns to Khal Mohammadi rugs, but are of finer quality with tidy knotting and smooth, almost velvety pile. You will frequently see Kunduz rugs with a small section of flat-woven 'kilim' at either end, next to the fringes. They are hand-knotted in the Kunduz region of northern Afghanistan.
