Approximately 416 x 310 cm, this piece features a bold red field with simple, minimalist gabbeh motifs and gentle tonal variation. Its generous size makes it ideal for a spacious living room or open-plan area, where the clean design can anchor the space.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
