Mamina Kilim - 250 cm x 156 cm

A kilim (also spelt killim, kelim or gelim) is a type of flat-woven rug. These rugs are made using a traditional technique that involves tightly weaving together thin strips of wool or cotton to create a dense, durable surface. Unlike other types of rugs, kilims have no pile, making them lightweight and easy to move. They are also versatile and can be used as floor coverings, wall hangings, or even as furniture covers.

Mamina kilims come from the Faryab province of north-western Afghanistan, and are named after the city of Maimana/Maymana. They feature geometric patterns with bold, earthy tones.
