A shirvan-style rug featuring a rich red field with crisp geometric medallions, hooked motifs and stepped borders accented in blue, cream and yellow. At approximately 209 cm x 165 cm, this medium-sized piece would work well as a focal point in a living room or a spacious bedroom.

Shirvan (also spelt Shervan, Sherwan) is the name of a city in the Caucasus region, now modern-day Azerbaijan. Shirvan carpets feature geometric designs, similar to the Kazak and Super Kazak family. This rug was constructed by master rug-makers in Afghanistan, and is inspired by the Shirvan rugs of the Caucasus.
