Approximately 240 x 155 cm, this piece shows a simple gabbeh look with soft horizontal striping and tonal variation in brown, lifted by lighter beige and cream accents. Its versatile size makes it well suited for a living room under a coffee table, beside a bed, or in a home office.

Gabbeh rugs are traditionally nomadic rugs, and feature very simple designs and patterns, often inspired by nature. It is not uncommon to see animals, people and trees scattered across these designs. The name 'Gabbeh' comes from the Persian word for raw/natural/uncut, and reflects the thick pile that these rugs traditionally featured. We sell Gabbeh rugs from a range of countries, including Iran, Afghanistan and India, with piles ranging from approximately 8mm up to 25mm thick!
